Social media video shows part of the recently opened Hongqi bridge collapsing in southwestern China on Tuesday. Authorities said there were no reports of any casualties.

Caused by a landslide not failure of infrastructure. Mountain side collapse has a tendancy to destroy things in its path.
I hate to say it but it seems normal.
Engineers had closed the bridge out of caution (AFAIR) there was blasting and tunneling going on nearby and.. well you can see the video.
Lots of reasons to dislike the CCP but this is not the strongest of arguments.

Just one question when an engineer or company takes on a build project. Isn’t it also generally accepted that includes engineering for site location requirements ect.
Americans build for 100 year floods, which has often proven insufficient.
Given the Hongqi bridge had only been open about 44 days I’d still call this an infrastructure failure, natural disaster or not
