All this is from Steve Herman (VOA):
“I will be meeting with Kim Jong Un in the coming weeks,” says POTUS. “We will be doing everything possible to make it a worldwide success.”

“We hope it al works out. We’ll be trying very hard,” adds POTUS.

We have to end nuclear weapons, hopefully in all parts of the world."

"We want to see these families reunited as soon as possible," says POTUS mentioning important issue for Shinzo Abe of Japanese abducted over decades by the DPRK.

Allies will get US military equipment "within a matter of days" when needed, promises POTUS.

Meetings here with Shinzo Abe "have been extremely productive," according to POTUS.

"It's a historic moment and possibly beyond that," adds POTUS thanking Shinzo Abe for helping to get things with the DPRK to this stage.

DPRK broke previous promises to abandon nuclear weapons, notes Shinzo Abe.

"Just because North Korea is responding to dialogue, there should be no reward. Maximum pressure should be maintained," says Shinzo Abe.

"We are deeply encouraged, Donald," says Shinzo Abe of his noting the importance of the emotional issues of those Japanese abducted by North Korea.

"If North Korea takes the right path...there could be a possible path...to normalize the diplomatic relationship" between Tokyo and Pyongyang, according to Shinzo Abe.

Shinzo Abe: "We must further strengthen the economic ties" between US and Japan.

US and Japan agree "to start talks for free, fair and reciprocal trade deals," according to Shinzo Abe.
