She was looking for ammunition. In any case, that whole server/email scandal was ridiculous. Hillary was engaging in textbook exfiltration. It was the digital version of throwing away classified documents without shredding them, in order to allow them to be recovered by a third party for intelligence gathering purposes. She wasn't hacked; she consciously and willfully left the door open in exchange for some form of compensation. The details uncovered by the investigation made that abundantly clear. Yet, there wasn't a single voice in the intelligence community speaking out. USIC was fully in her favor.

The whole of USIC is either grossly incompetent, or turned. Either way, USIC is controlled by hostile foreign intelligence, be it wittingly or unwittingly. That's irony.
