Trusted & Non-Trusted Information Sources

Coughs in EmpireOSINT

A new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows 61% of people in the United States say the spread of misinformation about the war is a major problem, with only 7% saying it's not a problem. Older adults were more likely to identify the wartime misinformation as an issue, with 44% of those under 30 calling it a problem, compared with 65% of those 30 or older.

Misinformation, especially during war has always been there. The internet has made the issue much worse because in creation and spread.

While foreign and domestic generation is always problematic. My primary concern is and will continue to be major media spreading or shaping the narrative a news story.

Take for example the story of hunter bidens laptop. It was fake, it was Russian disinformation, etc.
what news agency ever challenged the fbi have you investigated the behaviors.
It was a non-story for most of the national media.
This Twitter post explains it oh so well.

Starting this thread so sources of information can quickly be evaluated for accuracy based on the trustworthiness of the source. Sources will be listed alphabetically in each category below. Special thanks to Ein_Kreb for undoing the original color coded list and separating the sources into categories.

Please feel free to post additions in comments, along with some supportive evidence for rating, and I will copy and paste them into this list. I will be deleting comments once suggestions or changes have been incorporated into the original post just so the thread stays short, clean, and easy to read. Suggestions on improving this list are welcome.

I plan on working with staff particularly @RiffRaff to update this thread once the Iran crisis is over. May actually be a phone conversation worth of discussions since I have a horde of sources...

Currently the time does not exist for me and I'd assume staff at this time to update this general thread during this global/regional crisis in M.E. occuring.

It will have to be decided with staff & me or at least @RiffRaff where each new source goes in the "trust level" for sources for DWS.

But any suggestions are welcome of course! Just know it will be sometime or at least until this crisis is over that this thread will be updated.
