I was thinking about this last night. Except for Turkey being part of NATO, the US rally shouldn't be involved in the area. But, of course, Turkey is and there we are.
Russia is behind Syria, and if Turkey and Syria fight, will NATO really go into Syria, or will they simply defend Turkey borders with only slight incursions into Syria.
That would be a simple enough scenario. But no, the US is involving itself far deeper into Syria that it should. Both President Obama and Presidential Candidate Romney have both said they are going to assist the rebels. Bad idea as far as US defence goes.
