The U.S. and Netherlands have struck a landmark deal giving Dutch forces full access to the U.S. Air Force’s next-gen Collaborative Combat Aircraft program.
Netherlands joins US for drone wingmen development:
It’s an LoI (not a production contract), but it does grant the Dutch “total access” to USAF’s CCA work, lets them feed Europe-specific requirements, and launches a GA-ASI + VDL Defentec ISR-SUAS co-production with first fielding/production in 2026.
Access to USAF CCA: Dutch State Sec. Gijs Tuinman says the pact unlocks “total access… on all levels.” Official Dutch MoD note confirms the LoI to join CCA.
Shape European requirements: Tuinman says the deal enables the Netherlands to input requirements unique to the European theater; Defense One echoes the Dutch will provide input for requirements for use in Europe.
