The Kremlin’s press service says Putin spoke by phone with Hungary’s PM Viktor Orbán, and Orbán “expressed readiness to ensure conditions in Budapest for a possible Russia–U.S. summit.” The readouts add that Putin briefed Orbán on his call with Trump and that the Budapest meeting is under consideration.

Polish court refuses to extradite Volodymyr Z. (Nord Stream 2 sabotage suspect) to Germany citing lack of evidence.
Volodymyr Z. is a Ukrainian citizen who was arrested in Poland after a court in Karlsruhe issued a European Arrest Warrant in connection with his alleged involvement in sabotaging the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. He maintains that he was not involved in the sabotage, and that he was in Ukraine when it occurred. His defense further argued that his extradition to Germany would violate his human rights, and that in any case the EC had recognized Nord Stream 2 as part of Russia's military infrastructure, and that therefore its destruction in the context of the ongoing armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine should not be subject to prosecution under EU criminal laws.

Polish court denied extradition to Germany of a Ukrainian national suspected of blowing up North Stream 2 and released him from custody. And rightly so. The case is closed.
