New reports thread as the old one was a bit long and I just made a new discussions thread.

I would have thought they had enough on their plate...

Ukraine has deployed special forces to Syria to fight Russian mercenaries there, per the Kyiv Post.
They are backing Syrian rebels in fighting the Assad regime in the southwest, per the outlet.
Ukraine is also fighting Wagner mercenaries in Sudan, the outlet previously reported.

“It’s burning well. This is a Russian S-300. On Russian territory."

A now-deleted post on Telegram by a Ukrainian official shows the country hit a missile system inside Russia using Western weapons, after Ukraine's allies approved their limited use.

#Kyiv says that #Italy would supply Ukraine with another air defense system, weapons that senior Ukrainian officials have been urging their allies to send to fend off Russian aerial assaults.

I think I reported this yesterday in old report thread. But don't feel like looking. Just in case, here you go. 😂

Scholz wants to make a government statement on the security situation:
Berlin · In foreign policy, the course correction in Ukraine policy is making headlines, while in domestic policy the violent act in Mannheim is making headlines. On Thursday, the Federal Chancellor will speak in Parliament.
Bundestag will issue a government statement on the current security situation. This is stated in a letter from the Chancellery to Bundestag President Bärbel Bas (SPD), which was made available to the German Press Agency on Monday evening. It remains unclear whether the focus will be on domestic or foreign policy.
Last week, Scholz changed course in Ukraine policy. This allows the government in Kiev to use German weapons to attack military targets on Russian territory. The opposition had demanded an explanation. At the same time, after the knife attack in Mannheim, there is also a domestic political discussion about security and the threat of extremist violence.

Well duh, if they”re in Ukraine and their combatants. Then that is a given risk. Are we sure this is a proper translation?

Japan Considers Opening to Ukrainian Poultry and Other Farm Products:
Tokyo is looking for ways to expand its help to Kyiv. Trade agreements are obviously a mutually beneficial path, and Ukraine’s agricultural offerings are the most enticing.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reported on June 3 that Japan is considering opening its market for Ukrainian farm products, particularly chicken meat.

Japan has already launched several projects and financial aid to Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
The announcement came about the intention to “open Asian markets came in a press release, although no specific details or proposed Asian markets were mentioned.

“We can judge that it’s only referring to the Japanese market, and Singapore or South Korea at best,” Pavlo Martyshev a professor at the Kyiv School of Economics Agrocenter told Kyiv Post. “Japan cannot speak on behalf of all Asian countries, especially since China has an independent food policy.”

Wtg Japan.

Ukraine uses US weapons to strike inside Russia, a Western official tells AP
WASHINGTON (AP) — Ukraine has used U.S weapons to strike inside Russia in recent days, according to a Western official familiar with the matter.
The weapons were used under recently approved guidance from President Joe Biden allowing American arms to be used to strike inside Russia for the limited purpose of defending Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city.
👉 The official was not authorized to comment publicly on the sensitive matter and spoke on condition of anonymity.
Biden’s directive allows for U.S.-supplied weapons to be used to strike Russian forces that are attacking or preparing to attack. It does not change U.S. policy that directs Ukraine not to use American-provided ATACMS or long-range missiles and other munitions to strike offensively inside Russia, U.S. officials have said.
Ukrainian officials had stepped up calls on the U.S. to allow Kyiv’s forces to defend themselves against attacks originating from Russian territory. Kharkiv sits just 20 kilometers (12 miles) from the Russian border and has come under intensified Russian attack.

⚡️Kyiv has more blackouts than the rest of Ukraine because of the large amount of critical infrastructure.

According to Yasno director Serhiy Kovalenko, the amount of critical infrastructure is deducted from the established consumption limits, and the remainder is distributed among consumers.

"I hope that this situation will be somewhat balanced in the near future," he said.

Blackout in Kyiv. The city's dark streets are reminiscent of November 2022, when russia started massively attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

Power outages are reported throughout Ukraine due to significant shortages in the energy system.

The aftermath of the enemy's latest attacks is becoming increasingly more tangible for Ukrainians, while russia does not stop its terror.
