The Kremlin stated that the Trump's foreign policy shift aligns with Putin's perspective.

In an interview aired on Sunday, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov remarked, “The new administration is rapidly altering all foreign policy configurations. This largely aligns with our vision.”

"There is a long way to go, because there is huge damage to the whole complex of bilateral relations. But if the political will of the two leaders, President Putin and President Trump, is maintained, this path can be quite quick and successful," he added.

The US has been prioritizing efforts to repair ties between Washington and Moscow, with the #Trump administration pushing to end the war in #Ukraine. Trump initiated this shift by reaching out to Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 12 to discuss negotiations.

'Spend Less Time Worrying About Putin': Trump Downplays Criticism Amid Spat With Zelensky

US President Donald Trump responded on Sunday over his criticism of increasing closeness to Russia and said that the United States should worry less about Vladimir Putin. He said that the United States should spend less time worrying about Putin and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering the country.

"We should spend less time worrying about Putin, and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering our Country - So that we don't end up like Europe!,” he posted on his Truth Social platform on Sunday night.

According to Bloomberg, the Italian Government has begun to consider a number of alternatives to Elon Musk’s Starlink, who they were expected to close a €1.5B deal with soon for use by the Italian Armed Forces and Government Officials, due to recent pullback by the United States of previous commitments made towards European security, likely to include issues related to Ukraine. Both Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and President Sergio Mattarella have expressed support for searching for an alternative to Starlink, claiming the search to be a result of “changing geopolitics.”.

The suspension of US intelligence sharing with Ukraine will damage Ukraine's ability to defend itself against ongoing Russian attacks against military and civilian targets.

Ukraine's inability to conduct ATACMS and HIMARS strikes against Russian air defense systems within Russia and occupied Ukraine will likely impact how close to the frontline Russian pilots are willing to operate and expand Russia's ability to effectively use glide bombs against both frontline areas and near rear Ukrainian cities..

That didn’t age well.
Italy’s rejects bill banning starlink from competition for contract.
It was opposed by the Meloni gov

Italy already has extensive satellite comms thru starlink and it’s the best tech option available.

So who know they might give it to Eurosat but it’s not the Meloni gov who is disgruntled with Starlink but anonymous sources in the opposition party

The US may not defend Nato allies who do not meet Trump spending targets as part of a major shake-up of the alliance.
This article and other outlets are summarizing unnamed sources who aren't even providing an actual quote.

For an actual quote, National Security Council official said in a written statement, “President Trump is committed to NATO and Article V.”

Additionally, Sen. Chris Coons, of Delaware, the top Democrat on the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee for Defense and a senior senator on the Foreign Relations panel, said Trump’s nominee to be U.S. ambassador to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, “gave very reassuring answers” on the administration’s commitment to NATO and Article 5.
