So if the Zionist nationalist in Israel held such control of Israel’s foreign policy. Specifically that Israel was to rule from the Nile to the Euphrates. Why is it virtually everytime Israel has gained control of new land after having been invaded. They end up giving all or part of it back to the Nation State that invaded them.
The exception being the Golan Heights, which was tactical.
Why not spend this energy looking for the boogie man who drove a secular Lebanon into civil war in the 80’s or Syria in 10’s, tried to do the same in Egypt as well.
Seems the true political and nationalist actions in the Mideast don’t come from Zionism but from islamism and their desire to restore the Caliphate.

I'm talking about the current Israeli government. The people can't express themselves democratically; no elections are planned because of the war. Yes, you're right, that might not be what the people want, except that the people never decide anything. When these people are elected, they do what they want, and it's the same in other democratic countries.

This is false information, explicitly or implied. No elections have been suspended or delayed in Israel do to the war. Last elections were 2022. Their elections are on a four years cycle unless the gov collapses.
The people are still represented in this current government. The Knesset can deliver a vote of no confidence anytime and call for new elections. They have not so it seems the Israeli people are still represented.

Delaying and dragging this out does not serve the administration in the midterms.

That thought had occurred to me, but I have zero evidence to support it so I've kept it to myself. My personal opinion is that both the Israeli and American administrations are not really focused so much on Iran as they are on distracting their civilian populations from domestic matters. The entire war has been one gigantic gaslight to that end. Watch for something spectacular to happen in September/October.

I'm betting on late October, inventing a false danger to prevent people from voting, especially in states where the Democrats have a slight lead. As of now, it's likely to be a blue wave.

Trump is screwed for the Mid-terms it's just is he willing to put his ego aside and act like a real Leader again a regional and national threat.

tbh, i feel that you can't really defend Iran for good without a full scale invasion or nukes.

Nukes won't happen, and no one will want to do a full scale invasion (due to either too little army, or not politically able to sustain a war with thousands or tens of thousands killed soldiers)

So i don't really know how this is solvable...

I have a serious tendency to agree with you also; however, I'm going to wait to see what a final "DEAL" looks like before I criticize too much. There's allot of propaganda being put out there. I would like to be a fly on the wall at some of those closed-door meetings I'll tell you that. :cool:
