US Navy's Zumwalt Stealth Destroyers To Get Hypersonic Missiles

The Zumwalt class ships have been a real struggle haven’t they.
They must be really stealthy they keep trying to save them after their proposed rail guns weapon failed mature.
I say put an Ohio class reactor in them giving them unlimited electrical generation and equip them with state of art laser weapons as well as speed to match the stealth.
Although a stealthy destroyer with hypersonic missiles would be deadly as well.
Laser weapons don’t have over the horizon ability but they do have instantaneous time on target.
A ship that could keep up with a carrier and provide laser weapons to counter inbounds would be a great screening weapon for a carrier group.
