  • Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has left the country as the Taliban edges closer to taking full control.
  • Taliban militants have entered the capital of Kabul and talks are underway between the group and government.
  • The US is pulling all personnel from its embassy in Kabul, sources tell CNN. The embassy, which is now operating out of the Kabul airport, instructed US citizens in the capital to shelter in place.
