Looming Global Financial Crisis #October

You said it. I don't see myself moving back to stock or bonds for the foreseeable future. Already sold almost all my stocks.

Just going to keep banking on gold for the the foreseeable future. Got the gold while it was still on the low end and as long as the system keeps tanking my gold will only up in value. Just a tip for people.
I'm keeping the investment I made in a cannabis company earlier this year. It's only a matter of time before marijuana is fully legalized in the US, and when that happens, my stock will increase ten-fold overnight, even if the rest of the market isn't doing so well. One thing people don't stop buying even during tough times are the so-called "sin" items: alcohol, cigarettes, etc.

Yes absolutely, read a lot about booze sales went up ten fold first 8 months of the pandemic. I know I caught myself drinking a lot during the first year of this crap.

There is a aquaponics maryjane greenhouse 30 miles south of me. They have 200 open job positions their hiring for. I’m like wondering how their compensation system works. 😏

Can you buy from the farm? Cut the middle man out completely. Or just grow it yourself. I smoke a bowl now and than when I know I'll be really active. Really helps with my joints.

Have a card for it here in FL, just buy it from a store, get a kick out of it everytime I walk out. You can get the card for pretty much anything here. I got it for arthritis.

No that’s another one of those annoying areas where federal gov and state laws can’t seem to figure out their boundaries and the feds just know they know best.
Doesn’t matter if you have a medical card from Johns Hopkins. Carrying a CDL license still test for cannabis so
Rules for some - rules for others.

Beyond Evergrande, China’s Property Market Faces a $5 Trillion Reckoning:

Why doesn't Evergrande borrow 5 trillion from the democrats
Why don't China ask the Republicans on how to cut taxes on the Rich & Corperations so somehow they pay the government more money by paying less taxes. :ROFLMAO:

It's like reducing the sugar in candy or soda and expect bigger sales revenue from the product because you cut the one ingredient that makes the product sellable? Lol

I am rich have no problem paying more taxes and many others who are rich have no problem paying more in taxes. It's how a country functions & invests in our childrens future in just America. I don't care about the rest of the world.

I here this a lot it’s a old diatribe, could you provide anything beyond opinion pieces that support this claim.
Democrats politicians receive as much or more in campaign contributions from Corp as republicans.

Well good for you you have no problem paying more, your rich your can afford it so stop bragging. The rest in the middle who aren’t rich are sick of paying more.
More income tax, more sales tax, more property tax, more sin tax. 35-40 % of <100000 grand is tougher to manage than 35-40% of a million. So that argument is flat on arrival. And in many cases if your rich enough not even accurate.

Okay. Then write a cheque out to the IRS right now for whatever you think you are underpaying in taxes.

You can do that. They'll cash it.

Go on. Prove you truly believe what you say.
I already pay more in taxes willingly, beat you to that punch decades ago. In all my tax forms I make sure the government takes more, not less, or what's required.

Even when I was young on my W2s I put down that I wanted the IRS to take more money than less out of my paychecks when I was a young lad.

Not sure what your trying to prove DWS? Because I welcome it, always have, and made it clear many times I am in high favor of higher taxes. I am investing in my childs future in this country doing so.

Guess what? I'm still rich, didn't lose anything, and feel good about myself knowing I am doing my civic duty to help my country. :)

Never understood bringing up personal wealth.... especially not on the DEFCON Warning System. The conversation here is not about it. Seems very petty.

I only bring it up to give examples. The conversation is about wealthier paying more taxes. That includes me, and as a example I am more than willing to do so.

Nice way to deflect though JPod. Nothing to really say, so have to go after poster. ;)

This isn't your first post about personal wealth nor is it I believe the first thread you mentioned it (maybe the first time stating it in a thread talking about economics).

Because it's always used as a reference or a example of a rich person. SO I can't use myself in examples or analogies?

Again try to commit somthing to this conversation and stop deflecting. It doesn't look good on you.
