Wouldn’t it be so easy now for Russia to claim they are only protecting Russian citizens in the breakaway province. Pretty ingenious ploy.

I have an open question and I know their will be this is just a different situation response. But it’s out there.
Russia says they refuse to have nato on their boarders.
Well Latvia and Estonia are on Russia’s boarders. So Russia arguing they won’t accept nato on their boarder is null.
They just won’t accept Ukraine being in nato. I’m not arguing Russia shouldn’t frustrated by NATO’s move east.

Poeple just so dumb now days. Zero chance of most Americans surviving the next world conflict because they wouldn't know what to do after the war. Americans will mostly survive a nuclear war. Its after that most of Americans will die off due to sever lack of survival knowledge.

Simple lessons 7 year olds could understand that could save their lives but their goverment don't care enough to teach it and people don't care enough to learn here and god help our next generation most technologically pampered yet won't stand a chance once society collapeses.

I read a post about what caused our spy aircraft to be circling around Kaliningrad the other day. Seems Russia did what I thought they would do. He scattered his forces there and then claimed it an exercise even though they just got done with their Zapad exercise last month.

The SAS are already in Ukraine. The UK will wave the Jolly Roger right in Putin's face if we are with them. This is why Norway wants us to stay away from the Russian border. They know what the Russians are thinking and how their Paranoia gets the best of them.
Could we put a boot in Putin's rear with the existing NATO forces in Europe, probably but why fight fair. If we can not mass a huge modern day legion on many fronts at Russia's borders, stomp their faces in the mud all the way to Moscow, then we need to hold off. Unless he goes full stupid, rushes his forces into Ukraine and looks to be making a play for the whole country. Russia is known for its horrible human rights in wartime so he would make the justification pretty easy for NATO.

I do not see us moving in without a major sea and air lift. Russia will likely move a lot of troops to Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia's borders to scare them if we do, while rushing his 90 thousand plus troops into Ukraine before we get enough troops there to make a difference. We will be forced to either save Ukraine or risk our Baltic allies and possibly not save Ukraine in time as well. Russia has already flexed its nuclear muscle to warn us by sailing its three subs in the Pacific by Alaska. That got NATOs attention because they were backing off the tough talk the next day it became public.

A slow build up is needed here. Bring in some from all over and slowly move them into vital strategic positons but spread out so they are not easily spotted by Satellite.
