Just realized that. I’m reading the Reuters as contacts have been made, but formal meetings may not happen until January 1st or shortly after.

But he absolutely nails it when it comes to Russian fear of invasion and NATO's encroachment. Russia will not tolerate that.

Maybe NATO Is getting that idea, which is why they are meeting to discuss Russia's demands.

Not wanting to clutter the reports thread to much, but I still wanted to give a short answer: I don't agree to the whole analysis too (but to many points), but found it nevertheless an interesting text to read about the topic. About the alleged NATO-invasion or -encroachment, I guess we have different views on that - for me these things are stuff Putin makes up to justify his imperialistic ambitions and ruthless acts. (Sorry that this is not a report.)

While this site sat at 3, you know they had to be at DEFCON 2 with the entire B-2 fleet and Russias nuclear bombers trying to pass each other over the attic.

DEFCON One is nuclear missiles flying and Bombers flying to their targets like that has to be 2. I could see if they were just having a Johnson waving contest by flying B-52s around at their control points but our B-2 fleet doesn’t do that, they pretty much go straight to the target around known radar stations that is.

They were more than likely carrying mostly conventional weapons because Obama was told we can sneak out bombers over Kaliningrad and destroy those mobile nuclear missiles on the ground to teach Putin a lesson, without thinking about the huge dam elephant in the room.

The fact that our premier bomber fleet was likely going to be in the air, near Russia without nuclear weapons or near enough, if Putin responded with a massive nuclear retaliation.

We could have been at 3 but only due to Democrat ineptitude and some very inexperienced Generals.

I remember being at 2, and I got shook because every youtube and cnn/fox was talking about the site, then on one stream someone was spamming that the site was at Defcon 1. Though, we were at 2 at the worst case. I was the younger person tweaking in the chat when it happened. Jeeesus times have changed. I do love this site and the community though: I've learned a lot of skills from it.
