By the way, Olympics are officially over, meaning that all the forecasts about invasion before and during the Olympic games were incorrect. The last officially forecasted deadline for the invasion was Feb 20. We have about 9 more hours by Ukrainian time remaining.
Tbh, I feel like this is just a big campaign to make us look like sadam nuclear weapons 2.0

But I think when the olympics are over the time for an invasion is definitly there.
Putin is waiting for China to give the green light?

Putin is waiting for China to give the green light?
Xi asked Putin to wait until the Olympics were over before taking any action in Ukraine. Russia's not waiting for a "green light" per se, but if this new partnership between China and Russia is going to hold up, Putin waiting until after the Olympics would be an important step.

Their coal deal is contingent on it😏

It should be noted that President Macron had a phone call today with President Putin. He also held a phone call with President Zelenskiy after that. These might be connected?
I would venture to say that any phone calls between world leaders in that region are all connected right now.

Did anyone else think it was interesting a week or two after their "new strategic alliance" was announced, that China's foreign minister came out and said all nations must respect territorial boundaries; and that includes Ukraine. I wonder if they were expecting Putin to come out and say something publicly about Taiwan? And when he didnt, they backed off on Ukraine?

The original source for this appears to be the DailyMail.

"Ms Truss used an exclusive interview with The Mail on Sunday to argue that if Putin attacked Ukraine it would be a precursor to Russia using force to annex more former Soviet states."

I am unsure if I trust the DailyMail that much without seeing a recording of this interview. They tend to have some crazy articles and may have taken this one out of context.

I was wondering about that one as well. A British acquaintance of mine call the Daily Mail "the Fox News of English newspapers".

If it were true, though, would it even be feasible for Putin? It would be a lengthy, bloody, and highly expensive campaign. The man may be evil, but he's not stupid.
