He is right, the sanctions will not stop the war and will be even worse, it will end very badly, unfortunately, nuclear conflict if the situation does not change. Putin could react very violently.![]()

Russian oligarch Fridman warns sanctions will not stop war
But Mikhail Fridman avoids criticising President Putin as it could be risky for himself and staff.www.bbc.co.uk
So then it ends violently either with this go around or latter in the Baltic’s.He is right, the sanctions will not stop the war and will be even worse, it will end very badly, unfortunately, nuclear conflict if the situation does not change. Putin could react very violently.
This would also leave China, Iran and North Korea out on an island and less likely to get aggressive. The only off ramp now is Putin stepping down as President with the promise of not being arrested. Russia would also need to become a democracy and eliminate the mafia from influencing government agenda.
So basically it is all up to the Russian people now. Nothing we can do.
The problem is not only Putin, if you remove him, several group possibilities can take power: Communist, Oligarch... and so on. The Russian people never knew democracy, before the Communist it was the Tsarist (Autocracy)The only off ramp now is Putin stepping down as President with the promise of not being arrested. Russia would also need to become a democracy and eliminate the mafia from influencing government agenda.

This crisis isn't over yet, don't declare victory too quickly, we'll see later if the West is united that much.that I have to admire the unity. The West wasn’t bluffing and finally grew a spine.
Saw an interesting take earlier. It basically said whatever Putin originally planned is out the window now and they had to adapt, which they're doing. But with that, they had to change the goals. Taking all of Ukraine is definitely out now, if it was ever realistic. So the guy pointed out that Putin would just keep trying to take Kiev while trying to cause as much damage as possible to force Zelensky into unfair deal. Like giving up Crimea completely, while forcing them to do separate peace terms with the other 2 provinces recognized by Russia. Author said that Zelensky won't do this because it's bleeding Russia and he knows it. But that Putin can't go back empty handed so the war will continue, all the while domestic homefront he becomes increasingly unpopular. And would have to be weary of betrayal and assassination attempts. He basically finished up by saying that if he doesnt pull out, Russia could end up in a situation where they're bogged down for the next 20 years. AKA our Afghanistan. The only off ramp now is Putin stepping down as President with the promise of not being arrested. Russia would also need to become a democracy and eliminate the mafia from influencing government agenda.
