He still deals with China and can exchange with there banks as far as Russian currency and gold are concerned. He already supplies gas to China and can simply cut off supplies to Europe re-routing to China. Russian oil sales can also continue to Africa and Brazil and China.
Russia cannot survive off trading with just one country. Example would be DPRK. DPRK can trade with China. But does it look like their doing good? A nation especially like Russia or any nation really needs to be able to trade with the WORLD not just their neighbor.

Money was related to China trade was related to trade partnerships Africa, Brazil, China etc.etc.

Again the private sector does not want to do businesses with Russia. So even if Russia somehow set up a black market in China to sell its resources no one would buy it fear of bad media publicity if the public ever found out. Also that would take money away from China they have their own interests.

Lastly one word, sanctions.

China has no fear of sanctions they are world's largest supplier. Economic power like China vs sanctions like Russia. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It’s true couple of personal thoughts
One of the lynch pin propositions of history and conflict is the mistakes made to mollify an aggressor which did nothing to stop an eventual conflict anyway.
So is this a time and place to stand up to an aggressor? It appears a lot of people believe so.

But yes war and conflict is always dangerous there are always risk. What are you to do.

Ukraine and NATO could have given Putin what he wanted sure. Ukraine never in NATO.
Would that have still stopped the eventuality of something like this? I honestly don’t think so. Might not have been this year might have been 2025 but I suspect eventually Putin a d Russia wouldn’t have been happy till their was a pro-Russian gov in Kiev like Belarus.

Here’s a wild hairy ass idea.
Putin rejects the no nato guarantees
A week of fighting continues much the same
NATO continues troop build up
And then NATO and Ukraine announce in special session Ukraine is now a nato member and Russia must withdraw within specified time frame or NATO would declare war on Russia.

Issues like this are always fluid.
There are no hard fast proven doctrines that guarantee if you do this this will happen. There are only probabilities and time and events are always changing those probabilities
NATO are in no position to fight Russia. Most European armies are small and incapable of offensive operations. What NATO have in place in Eastern Europe is purely a defensive force. It would take weeks - if not months - to put a force together that could go in and and push the Russians out of the Ukraine. Thus the military option really isn't a viable one at this juncture.

The only way out of this is diplomacy; and that only works if the US and the major European players want to end this situation via diplomatic means. I personally don't think they want that. There is no sign that the western powers want to press the reset button, and deal with Russia on equal terms. For what ever reason, they have allowed this situation to come to pass - be it by design, or just pure stupidity.
IMHO, one of the biggest geo-political and intelligence fk ups of the last century was the Wests belief that Russia would crumble in-on itself after the Soviet Union broke up, and then still treating them like a cold war adversary, once they realised they were not going to implode.

With hindsight, it would have been better to have offered them NATO membership back in the early 90's. That said, without Russia, there would be no need for NATO.

The west are already suffering from own sanctions on Russia. Still early ends up in Russian collapse then war is extremely higher risk or world recession .
I've said before in my assessment the West is ready to deal with the blowback. If they where not they would not have taken this so far and now considering to ban Russian energy exports which is pretty much the only thing left to sanction.

However Russia cannot withstand it much longer. Putin cannot win a waiting game financially with the West.

If you think he can I respectfully ask you not to post anymore as your not contributing to facts or what is really happening in reality.

Hardly a comparable. The west are already suffering from own sanctions on Russia. Still early ends up in Russian collapse then war is extremely higher risk or world recession .
Wellllll what should we expect it’s a war and a conflict between world powers. Of course it’s going to bite.
We should expect nothing less.
IS IT WORTH IT
Is it worth doing something to defend and help Ukraine or should we look away?

Oh I agree Putin and Russia economically are in serious trouble and may well have no other choice but strike countries in Europe to eleviate sanctions failing this nukes launch.

Honestly you don't see similarities between current Ukraine east vs west to previous Poland east and west.

Respect 👍unfortunately the biggest issue is obvious. You know the old saying. You can't see what's directly infront of you.

Well which part of the Russian forces in Ukraine are going to disengage fighting a slow war with single country ill equipped by all accounts. A Non existent Air Force and no navy.
Which part of Russia’s conventional forces ( they already reportedly have a significant portion of them mobilized) will they send when F-35, and 22 with 18 engage Russia’s fighters and Apache and warthogs start raking Russian armor.
Make no mistake I’m not arguing for this in anyway or claim it will be a complete route of Russia.
But only to point out it’s an error to claim NATO is incapable of engaging Russia in a conventional war.
Russia has been incapable of subduing Ukraine conventionally thus far and yet somehow nato would not be able to mount a significant military response?
That does not follow, maybe NATO should have joined Ukraine?

IS IT WORTH
Yes. I have taken quite the hit since the sanction and private sector bans. But I'd do it again and more if it means standing up to Russia and best case scenario leadership change if he doesn't back down.
This view is widely shared among the corporate hives. Which is why your seeing private businesses willingly end business with Russia on a large massive devastating scale.

You make a lot of pronouncements but never any current or historical facts. What’s the deal?
You make a lot of statements but never current or historical facts. What is the problem?
Look, I've done several readings in various countries, several economists are doing different analyses. Then I make my own opinion. No, I won't do research for you, no time.
You have the right to disagree!

Briefly Elaborate I’m not following
Poland ww2 they learnt a huge lesson when it comes to trust with Europe and Russia. They are surrounded by people they can't trust from such history. They haven't forgotten. Do some research. And you'll understand how Ukraine situation is similar. Now Ukraine can't trust either. That's how Ukraine feels now and have stated publicly eg. Please place no -fly zone. Rejected. Think about it.

So your argument is because I said so, good to know.
