By the way, when somebody has more nuclear weapons than you do and you have a lot, you probably need to quit pushing when you’ve already backed them into a corner.
All wars end. The Ukraine was lucky and fought ferociously just for continued existence. They did well and would make anyone think twice about trying that again. But all wars end. This one, as far as the US is concerned is done. Russia has been economically crippled but not mortally and she has endured an unbelievable amount of casualties (1,000,000+ 350,000KIA) They may talk tough but they won’t go near that blender ever again.
All wars end. What exactly do you keyboard warriors want as a finish? Return of Crimea? Not happening without a Nuclear War. I’m a hard pass on that. Return of the “restive” states and areas in the far East? Really? Kiev should send them a fruit basket and wish them the best. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I have been scared about the direction of the nation. Since about 2009 to be exact.
And now since Feb, 5th just a little anxious mixed with a dose of euphoria.

If Ukraine doesn't agree to a cease fire the US will stop all offense military aide.
If russia doesn't agree to a cease fire the US will ramp up offense military aide.
I'm seeing reports of massive amounts of US military equipment going to Europe.
Speak softly to russia but bring a big stick. It's really not that hard to see what's
going on but because of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) the left is losing their minds!
I have said this before.

I have responded that Trump will try and make peace, with demands for both nations. I think he’s been to harsh on Zelinski recently, or these just might be statements being hyper inflated for effect. Dont know, don’t care to allocate the time to find out. The +/- impact of that will be over before I could suss it out.
Many like to say Putin says or telegraphs exactly what he means or is going to do.
Recently as the US /Russia talks started.
He remarked it was necessary for the US and Russia to speak face to face bi-laterally. Not about negotiations. Rather establishing trust, I really have no clue how that will go. But this is actualy something that needed done.
I’m sure Trump is Getting all kinds of push back on U/E/R. Most of it is thin skinned politicians and their acolytes bemoaning Haveing to renegotiate the terms and commitment levels to security and trade agreements, oh my!
As recent post of Boris Johnson went European leaders need to toughen up. Be equal partners, they knew this was coming, and if they’re not happy with not having a seat at the table. Then maybe they might want to check what the buy in for the table is and then pony up.

Ukraine and most of the EU are losing their minds because they don’t like being reminded of their faults or talked harshly to.

Odds are European peacekeepers in Ukraine and refusing to commit to clear permanent national boundaries from Russia will be their stumbling block.
Ukraine’s will be refusing to not act like national leaders, and will continue to play the put upon people and also not agree to clear national boarders. Possibly a resurgence of 2015 fighting between little green men and AZOF like brigades.
And then guess what we can all go back to killing each other. Blame the other team for the failures to achieve peace or float all kinds of conspiracy theories.
There are so many things that can go wrong. There is no reason believe with full assurance there will be success.
Based upon campaign statement’s if negotiations fail because Putin won’t compromise I fully expect the green machine, both paper and metal, flow into Ukraine like we haven’t seen. Trump is remember unique amongst pol for doing the things he campaigned on.
And if it Ukraine then Europe better get real serious about making sure Zelinski gets that message or prepare to pony up to the table
