Now on the the other big miss by these amateur engineers. The bombs do not need to penetrate physically. Perhaps in loam or silt but in hard stone the energy wave propagates onward, (in this case, downward.

Spalling is a thing. The wave will emerge and crack and crush everything. Grinders and supports will be warped and crushed. Dynamic divergence, or resonance or conservation of momentum. It’s a thing kids. Maybe take a summer class at the Community College? Or pick up a high school physicist book (for a private school) Look at the poor technicians stuck down there. They’re all gonna look like they’re sleeping. Yet nearly every bone in their body will be crushed and cracked, and their skin will only be acting as a giant soup carton. All the equipment that isn’t crushed will still be destroyed. God have mercy upon them if the centrifuges were running.

This entire topic is being pushed on places like X (not here, not anyone here) who have a subject mastery depth of a parking lot puddle.

Look I’m not say squat. This is the Secretary of Defense. Apparently the “unclassified standard” is 6 huge bombs dropped from rarefied air impacting in 1 hole.

I kinda that that was a hot number and classified. Good for him. Makes life a hole lot easier on me.

Israel has revealed they had SF on the ground, most likely us to. I wonder if they put a laser right where they wanted those bombs to hit?

That really takes the guesswork out of it. Most people don’t realize the earth is not a sphere it’s an ellipsoid. And an imperfect one. Even seemingly perfect grid coordinates can be way off. You have to establish a targets altitude on, above or below the ellipsoids surface. Uber precise readings on an w observed target are so much easier and more better (that was highly technical professional officer speak)

I imported an exported a number of precision guidance systems when I was Younger. (Lot numbers, statements of use, end user certificates and more) It was amazing bringing this stuff to life in the service and continuing as a reservist. It far more remarkable than most people think.

All that being sad, it is like Crimson Traces catch phrase “The guy with the laser won”
