"Based on the highly provocative statements of the Former President of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, who is now the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, I have ordered two Nuclear Submarines to be positioned in the appropriate regions, just in case these foolish and inflammatory statements are more than just that," Trump wrote.

"Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances," he added.

The White House has not elaborated on questions surrounding Trump's announcement, including when the submarines were deployed, whether there is a mission statement for the moves and whether the submarines were nuclear-armed or nuclear-powered.

A White House official declined to give any specifics, saying only that it is all part of a plan of "strategic ambiguity."

no, why? if this were really the reason for DEFCON 4, then it would already be there. and these words are nothing more than threats, the submarines were there for a long time, and this is logical

Unfortunately it just doesn't work like you would like to believe. Should a nuclear exchange between both countries happen it would be global. As in other countries will also be targeted and launch their nukes aswell if they have them. Eg. Europe, NK , China etc. Wishful thinking an isolated incident between two superpowers. Just won't happen between Russia and America alone. May be advisable to watch for bunker preparations and private jets uptick.

Stupid considering this action isn't a fictional movie 🙄. This is where miscalculation, misunderstanding etc may very well cause the end for most. Hope they keep their communication open. Imagine a couple of conventional tomahawks fired from US submarine intended to strike a Russian force in Ukraine. Do you really think Russia would wait to see results with their fingers crossed in hope they are conventional and not hitting Russia. GOODLUCK Northern hemisphere. 🤞

I think that it is fairly conceivable that the '2 subs' were already in their respective AOs. Its a very easy way for the US to say 'we hear and you and we are always ready'. Nothing more nothing less.
 
Dmitry Medvedev is a psychopath, and I don't think Putin is very far behind him. if not way in front of him on the psychopath level. I really worry about those two individuals. If Russia Lauches one of their hypersonic missiles at the United States it will be one of their most foolish moves. Our response to their response will be absolutely the start of a huge war, Russia does not have a strong military and with them all at the frontlines of Ukraine at the moment and all the losses Russia has faced since they started their involvement. All Russia has is its missals to defend them at this point in time and if they want to wave their missiles at us, we can wave ours back right in their face. America has better weapons than Russia is even aware of, and it may soon come to the point where America needs to deploy those weapons and put Russia's foot back in their mouth. Go America God Bless the country of America and the Freedom and Liberty of when it stands for. Protecting Peace and the safety of our citizens is America's first priority and should always be its first priority. I call out Dmitry Medvedev, I think he is a old rotting pussy with a yeast infection flapping his vagina at America. I'm sure Putin is pumping him every day. You want to see my missel Putin says to Dmitry :)
