Who would trust the United States and Russia after they screwed Ukraine with the Trilateral Statement and the Budapest Memorandum in January 1994. Both gave Ukraine security assurances. Ukraine should be making its own demands and consessions themselves with Russia (and even then I would not trust the word of Russia).
Trump tells Isreal to hurry up with its war. What nerve after all the wars and military actions the US has been in. Internationally, "The Israeli government's insistence on changing the demographic status of the occupied territories is a flagrant violation of international law," isn't Russia doing the same?
On 17 March 2023, following an investigation of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, and Maria Lvova-Belova, Russian commissioner for children's rights, alleging responsibility for war crimes. Putin should be arrested in Alaska but NOooo...the United States does not recognize the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court.
Then there is this from NBC..."Trump ramps up his campaign for the Nobel Prize, hoping to cement a legacy as a 'peacemaker'".
The whole thing stinks of
President Trump, fix our own country and our own problems before trying to fix the world! Economic inequality, political polarization, infrastructure needs, healthcare costs, terrorism, immigration, drug trafficking, and diverting resources to foreign affairs is hurting the US. Look at the not-so-great interventions the US has done in Afghanistan and Iraq and how much the US has lost in lives, money, and resources. The United States of America has critical domestic needs that demand your attention instead. Building a strong and prosperous nation at home should be first on every US cititzen's mind. Help ourselves today so we can help others tomorrow.
