Orban’s done this every recent election, dude hates the EU and NATO but doesn’t want to leave.
I admit I’ve been frustrated with Orban’s position on Ukraine. But i have come to the conclusion his is more of the practice of realities than utopias. By that i mean he might have actually recognized that stopping Russia after the war began was an insurmountable task without the commitment of troops. Given that nato is not going to send troops he might just be reacting to the realities of war with Russia over Ukraine.
Now i do not know or have studied Orban but the realities of the war with Ukraine and Russia seems to be proving this to be true.
Russia is willing to bleed and bleed others, and nato is not going to get directly involved ( A point that I have argued was likely necessary for most of the conflict). But no NATO nations is going to send troops, they wouldn’t do it under the last US admin and Trump is definitely not going to.

For my personal reflections on the Ukraine Russian war. I’m pissed at my leaders for committing billions at this war without considering what it would actually cost to win it, and then not be willing to do what was necessary to actually win it “Chicken hearts”.

On a larger geopolitical scope. Trumps efforts to undermine the government’s of Venezuela Cuba and now Iran are all direct subversion of Russian influence abroad. That we are not confronting Russia in Ukraine directly does not mean we are not confronting or undermining Russian influence.

Who can say? If NATO had become involved directly would it have changed things or lead to a larger war. I have opinions but that’s all they are the same is true fo all of us.

It must be said that this forum does not represent the opinion of the average American.
Absolutely. My wife and I are trying to figure out how to immigrate out of here without losing everything we've built up for retirement.

My fear on imigrating to Russian,I would need proper body armor and some(lots of ) tactical training
And a parachute for high-story windows.

Here in Canada, immigrants from the European Union do not lose their pension benefits, and vice versa. Therefore, I can go to France without losing my pension. I imagine it must be the same for the USA.

It is. We would still get our social security and retirement benefits, but there's some doubt how we would fit in the host country's health care if we haven't been paying into it.

The US is easy to beat on this point; in Canada, immigrants have the same rights as native-born citizens once they obtain their Canadian citizenship. I don't know how long that takes.

Note: You pay tax on your retirement savings.

This area is still escalating imo. So is the Indo-Pak theater from what Sentry has been feeding me. Sadly only have time to report on Iran crisis. Sorry y'all.

Anyone with insights of the Russian economy? Ive been asking myself this question after hearing and reading alot , that the Russian state gets some more money, how would it benefit the Russian population, if prices go up you would think the prices go up for the normal Russian citizen as well right?

Very astute. Anyone have solid numbers, micro numbers not total claimed Russian economic numbers? If you do please share.

There is literally no such thing. Like any authoritarian regime any numbers are speculative at best because the numbers the state publish are fudged or out right lies.

It's why the West truly doesn't know how Russian economy is really doing. Everyone saying so is talking out their ass as everyone around the world only have state numbers to go with which are again unreliable at best.

So any conclusion by anyone over the Russian economy is pure and strictly speculative. Regardless whom they are and if they say they have real numbers they're liars. Whatever numbers anyone claims to have 100% always can be traced back to Russian State published statistics. Everytime. Because that's all there is.

It's why I die laughing everytime I see some idiot rando on YouTube or CNN/BBC/FRANCE24 TV segment with some analyst claiming the Russian economy is "collapsing" when they truly don't know anything more than anyone else due to the secrecy around statistics regarding authoritarian regimes and their economies/systems.

Biggest waste of time is listening to someone talk about how the Russian economy is doing regardless what they claim weather it be good or bad. 😂

Your guess is as good AS LITERALLY anyone else's. Ditto for North Korea or any other garden variety dictators country.

"9 times out of 10" with dictatorships we won't know how their doing until the system collapses or begins too.

Thats why I asked. Unless the Russian Finance minister is here using a name like say…Totality, there is no way to know.

I’m going to leave this up for now.
Poject Nemisis is NOT a “reliable source of information “
It has in the past been known to be a strong pro Russian leaning site.

Well. I will take it one step further. Moving it to UA-NATO discussions. A thread based on a source like this doesn't need its own thread. Staff can of course undo my actions if I went to far. I am not a moderator. Just a janitor. ;)
