Switzerland implemented further measures from the EU twentieth sanctions package against Russia. The measures include service restrictions involving Russian LNG tankers, icebreakers and LNG terminals, limits on tanker sales and retransfers, restrictions on Russian cryptocurrency platforms, and sensitive export controls involving Kyrgyzstan. This marked Switzerland’s first use of its anti circumvention tool.

A Romanian F 16 destroyed an explosive maritime drone with cannon fire after the Coast Guard detected it several hundred metres from the Neptun Deep offshore gas project in the Black Sea. Authorities later clarified that one drone was destroyed. Its origin remains unidentified.

Politico reports the Romanian government has clarified it was not an explosive drone.
“Romania’s Ministry of National Defense initially said the uncrewed vessel was carrying explosives, but later clarified it was a maritime drone.”
