I just posted a new WSJ article update on the cia meeting, and I’m actually sick at how they ran with the stories they did yesterday versus what has come out in the WSJ and NYT today. This is why it’s incredibly important to remember the 24 hour rule, aka wait 24 hours to judge news. All true regarding Putin.
Regarding the current situation, I will repeat this...despite all the media, fake OSINT reports, and X's horseshit...this is nothing different compared to last week speaking about the risk of a NATO-RU war.
And again, this is nothing compared to the situation we had at the end of 2022, even conventionally speaking.
Then of course everyone is free to have his own interpretation, but I think that independently from the content of the meeting between CIA and FSB directors (which has received, far too attention) there's enough information and there's enough lack of worrying signals to conclude that you can sleep peacefully. For now of course, as it's been for 4 years, things can always change when there's a superpower involved in a conflict.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been this pissed off reading the news, and it makes me legitimately angry that the media can get away with posting stuff before they have enough context to tell the whole story.
