BREAKING NEWS: I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns. There will be NO COST to the United States! At my direction, we worked with representatives of Denmark and Greenland to guarantee that the United States will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland, and the United States of America.

Trump says U.S. to build a 'large Military presence' in Greenland as part of a security deal with it and Denmark

Greenland has maintained it is not for sale, and the European Union earlier this year united to rebuke Trump over his push to acquire the island.

Greenland's Premier Jens-Frederik Nielsen has just announced that he is traveling to New York to sign a security agreement with the United States and Denmark that grants the US permanent control over Greenland’s defense while preserving Danish sovereignty.

Another western hemisphere geopolitical goal met.
The canal
Venezuela
An adjusted and updated energy policy
Pro US Governments spread across western hemisphere
Major curtailment of uncontrolled immigration
Greenland security strengthened.

To be put out about these accomplishments is could be due to politics, an adversarial view towards the US in general, or blind loyalty to the failed internationalist agenda of the last 45 years.

And while I could be wrong in my support for these changes and they could be proven detrimental to the US and stability.
That doesn’t justify continuing to follow the past internationalist agenda of creating division, doing nothing to use real, not imaginary influence, to negotiate an end of fighting in numerous regional conflicts. And endlessly tolerating the influences that are causing social disruptions due to uncontrolled mass migration of displaced people. Which not ironically were created by festering regional conflicts long ignored.

Not exactly true it removes the limitation on the US to existing bases.
It gives the US veto say on foreign non-NATO investment and military installations in Greenland.
Finally it extends these rights granted by Denmark to any new independent Greenland.

And if you review the US concerns at the outset. This covers most of them.
 
This is another perfect example of dueling narratives.
No change / significant change
The truth is always somewhere in the middle. The meat in the story is the direction we are going and issues that are being addressed.

The manner in which Trump addressed the Venezuela, canal, Greenland, Iran, where and are audacious brash and often abrasive.

The jury is still out regarding Iran.

But no one can deny these key regional issues were not real issues and not just for the US. Just as European NATO spending was and possibly continues to be an issue with some. But if Trump had not been such a prick about this in his first term. We would still probably just be doing the diplomatic two step and no change would have began.

Does anyone actually believe that polite subtle diplomatic request and coalition building were going to effectively address any of these issues?
