New thread. Moved all former Iran Nuclear Talks to its own thread and locked.

New chapter in the crisis:

  • Nuclear talks fell apart.

  • Bibi vows attacks on Iran directly for embarrassing Yemen attack on critical infrastructure.

  • Trump now considers any attack on Israel by Houthis as a direct attack by Iran.

  • Military action seems more likely then ever given rhetoric from Bibi, Trump, and Iran leadership.

So here we are. Stay alert, stay safe.

Iran Defense Minister: Any imposed war will see the use of weapons never used before. Our missile reserves are substantial. US/Israeli aggression will be met with attacks on their interests, bases & forces, anywhere, anytime. Yemen is independent country & they decide themselves

The Senate Republicans' page on Twitter wrote that they "support the President of the United States' maximum pressure campaign against the terrorist Iranian regime," adding that #Trump is "absolutely right to demand the complete dismantling of Iran's nuclear program."

In another post, the page wrote: "#Iran doesn't need to enrich uranium unless it seeks to build a nuclear weapon. Iran is developing a missile program capable of hitting the United States. This poses not only a threat to our allies, but a direct threat to us as well."

Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday dismissed reports suggesting that President Masoud Pezeshkian may meet with Donald Trump in Riyadh or that Tehran has proposed direct negotiations with Washington, calling them “baseless fabrications.”

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that any updates on the status of “indirect” talks with the United States would be shared in a “transparent, professional, and timely” manner by the ministry.

The denial comes after a report by the Israeli news outlet Ynet, which said that Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had contacted Steve Witkoff, the US representative in the negotiations, and proposed direct talks over nuclear issues.

Meanwhile, Kioumars Yazdanpanah, a political analyst frequently featured on Iranian state TV, raised the possibility that negotiating teams from Iran and the US may have reached a “preliminary tacit agreement.” He also suggested there was a chance that Trump and Pezeshkian could meet in Riyadh.
