First time in days: Iran fires missiles at US base in Jordan​

For the first time in several days, Iran launched missiles targeting locations in Jordan early Wednesday morning.

A senior US official speaking to Channel 12 News confirmed that Iran launched ballistic missiles at a US base in Jordan, adding that the missiles were intercepted. No casualties or damage have been reported at this stage.

The Iranian strike came hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Trump at the White House. Their meeting focused primarily on the Iranian threat and Israeli concerns over a potential agreement that fails to genuinely address Iran's nuclear program.

Following the meeting, the White House Press Secretary issued a statement describing the talks as "productive and good." Prime Minister Netanyahu remarked, "This was one of the best conversations I've ever had with the US President."

The interceptions in Jordanian territory were seen from Israeli territory as well.

Iran’s IRGC said it fired several ballistic missiles at an American airbase and a CENTCOM command facility in Jordan in retaliation for U.S. actions.

Jordan’s Armed Forces confirmed that five missiles entered from Iran and said all were intercepted and destroyed. Jordan did not confirm the targets claimed by Tehran, and no casualties or target impacts were reported.

British maritime security firm Ambrey said the U.S. owned Energos Winter floating storage and regasification vessel was struck by a drone at Egypt’s Damietta Port, causing a fire that spread to a second vessel. Crews were evacuated and the fire was brought under control.

No party has claimed responsibility, and Iranian involvement remains unconfirmed.
