Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said early Thursday that it targeted a US airbase in Kuwait in response to an American aerial strike near Bandar Abbas Airport in southern Iran.

🔊 At 10:17 p.m. ET on May 27, Iran launched a ballistic missile toward Kuwait that was successfully intercepted by Kuwaiti forces. This egregious ceasefire violation by the Iranian regime occurred hours after Iranian forces launched five one-way attack drones that posed a clear threat in and near the Strait of Hormuz. All drones were successfully intercepted by U.S. forces which also prevented a sixth drone launch from an Iranian ground control site in Bandar Abbas.
U.S. Central Command and regional partners remain vigilant and measured as we continue to defend our forces and interests from unjustified Iranian aggression.

The "Sabrin News" news agency, affiliated with pro-Iranian militias in Iraq, reported explosions in several districts in southern Iran for an unknown reason. In addition, the report claimed that gunfire was heard in the Strait of Hormuz area and that missiles were launched into the Strait from the Iranian city of Bushehr. Apparently, this was an attack on American ships that crossed the Strait in violation of "Iranian rules."

US-Iran 60-day proposal: What we know

Official US sources have told Al Jazeera that the framework still needs President Donald Trump’s final approval.

Here’s what we know so far about the MOU, its terms, aims and what it means for the war.......
