🗣️ | US-Israel/Iran | Memorandum of Understanding Largely Negotiated | ANALYSIS OF REPORTS

🥱
Heard the administration use similar rhetoric before. This announcement just seems to do more name-dropping...
I guess we'll see how this turns out.
Gee, I wonder what POTUS could do to influence markets on the first day of a three-day holiday weekend?

I do not assess that Iran has a nuclear weapon. It would've used it by now if it had one. And if it DID get one, it wasn't the Pakistanis who gave it to them. Pakistan and Iran hate each other, actually.
Pakistan and Iran have a decent relationship with each other, including some kind of "friendship treaty" they signed not long after Pakistan declared its independence. I don't know why you thought they hated each other, unless you confused Iran with India. On top of that, Iran and Pakistan both share the same hatred of Israel. Pakistan would absolutely be a legitimate source of a nuclear weapon for Iran, especially if it was going to be used on Tel Aviv.

hope everyone enjoying last day of their memorial weekend.
Hope everyone did something this weekend to honor our brave men & woman who have fallen. It should never be a excuse to party. I went and planted flags and flowers at graves today. 🫡 I never had the chance to serve and respect the hell out of who have and honor those who gave everything for... Well, everything I hold dear.

And the Iran games 2026 continue...

From the BBC:
Iran says some progress has been reached in talks with the US, but a deal "is not imminent".

Foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baqai's remarks came after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said an agreement could possibly be reached on Monday.
"It is correct to say that we have reached a conclusion on a large portion of the issues under discussion," Baqai said in Tehran on Monday. "But to say that this means the signing of an agreement is imminent - no-one can make such a claim."

From the BBC:

Gee, I'm shocked. The day before markets reopen after a long weekend, just like I predicted. Are you all starting to see this pattern now? People with foreknowledge of when these "deal" announcements and attacks are going to occur are raking in big bucks on the stock market. This isn't a war; it's deliberate market manipulation to allow millionaires to join the billionaire club.

That is certainly one explanation behind to the schizophrenic nature of this conflict.

This is more of an interesting development than on the face.

The security council was against restoration of the internet.
Iran’s digital economy, online businesses, banking, and remote work were heavily disrupted. Reports estimated losses in the tens of millions of dollars per day.

Not THE reason, but certainly A reason.

That friendship treaty was signed by Pahlavist Iran ruled by the Shah, not by the IRGC. Pakistan loses its place in the Muslim world if Iran gets any prominence, Iran is a far more lucrative ally to the West than Pakistan can ever be. Pakistan's unique position as the foremost military power in the Muslim world allows it to be the protector of the Arab countries, making deals to finance itself like it has done with Saudi Arabia. A resurgent Iran is absolutely a threat to Pakistan.

Pakistan and Iran actually traded missiles approximately two years ago and routinely accuse the other side of fanning extremism at their border.
