Germany is considering withdrawing approximately 1,200 tons of gold, valued at around $124 billion, from a U.S. Federal Reserve vault in New York due to concerns over Trump’s unpredictable policies.
Well I’m sure it’s would be a problem for the federal reserve, you know that pseudo govt entity. And the dollar. And what would they do if they found it wasn't there?
That’s just not true. They’re not mirrored, well, they are now, thanks to nations copying Trump’s policies back at us. Because, clearly, prices weren’t high enough already. Let’s not forget the hit to our GDP. But hey, I guess this is what some people voted for. Talk about sabotaging your own interests.mirrored tariffs.
Great interpretation of the unfolding Trump Recession. I bet a lot of people do feel like their heads are on fire with all the losses Trump is managing to self-inflict on every American’s wallet, bank account, and portfolio.
1. Security & Stability: After WWII, many countries (especially in Europe) began storing their gold in the U.S., particularly at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, because the U.S. was considered politically and economically stable. During the Cold War, West Germany feared a Soviet invasion so storing gold abroad was a hedge against losing it to occupation. Why would a country allow another country to hold their gold? Its like me handing over my wallet to a stranger.
You should be happy if all this is true. It will really hurt Trump. That’s just not true. They’re not mirrored, well, they are now, thanks to nations copying Trump’s policies back at us. Just keep tanking the economy, piling on debt, and gutting programs for the poor all to hand out tax breaks to the rich. A real winning strategy for America... and re-election. Maybe we’ll be just as “great” as Russia someday. (Sarcasm.)
Imagine having a recession named after you: The Trump Recession. What a legacy. So much for American excellence, the ship has sailed.
#TrumpRecession really does have a ring to it. But don’t worry Trump and his friends will probably leave office wealthier than they came in, and the rest of us? Forgotten, once they’re done playing President.
Huh. That. That uh. You didn't leave me any room to come back at yea. Congrats, you win the internet today! You should be happy if all this is true. It will really hurt Trump.
This is exactly what I voted for. I think of it as chemo to kill the cancer. It almost never works but it will buy you a substantial remission and recovery time.
Almost all Politicians (who are mostly scum) leave wealthier. Republicans usually start rich though.
My 2¢ YMMV
Now is not the time to go all "wobbly kneed". Let's see what the markets do by Memorial Day.Great interpretation of the unfolding Trump Recession.
