Another Military Purge in China

Another massive military purge just took down three top Chinese generals.
On June 26, 2026, China’s National People’s Congress abruptly stripped the legislative delegate status of three full generals, the highest active rank in the military. The targeted leaders include General Xu Xueqiang, head of advanced military equipment procurement; General Li Fengbiao, political commissar of the strategic Western Theater Command; and General Guo Puxiao, political commissar of the Air Force.
  • This move, reported by Nikkei and Reuters, removes their legislative immunity and follows the established pattern of Xi Jinping's anti-corruption campaign that has already ousted multiple top PLA leaders, including former defense ministers and Rocket Force commanders.
  • It signals persistent high-level instability within the PLA's command and procurement structures, potentially affecting military cohesion and modernization efforts amid regional tensions.

Another small signal.

I maintain it’s entirely possible that there are objections to taking Taiwan, and this is Xi’s way of consolidating power as we get closer.

Middle East war continues…viable distraction for the U.S. to take resources away. Wonder any Iran hasn’t really *stopped*…

Is it possible it could be the other way around? XI knows that ALLOT of stuff is gonna get broke if they try to invade Taiwan. The US has allot of assets in that part of the world.

Taiwan just officially initiated the ultimate autonomous defense matrix. If Beijing thinks an amphibious assault is a viable option in mid-2026, Taipei just made sure that plan mutates into an absolute high-tech nightmare..
Taiwan has unveiled a massive €5.6 billion autonomous defense blueprint designed to literally flood the skies and the sea with over 210,000 unmanned systems. We are talking about massive swarms of kamikaze drones, AI reconnaissance platforms, and unmanned surface vessels. This asymmetric strategy is directly ripped from the brutal logistical lessons of the war in Ukraine, where autonomous air threats have completely broken traditional military armor
The operational goal is pure saturation: completely overwhelm any invasion force the second it moves, making a cross-strait campaign too costly to survive.
