Good that losing 5-10% Indus Water, isnt an Existential threat. But I can see an conventional responce targetting that dam, and then again I think there has been some similar story in Africa, between Egypt Etiopia and Sudan? ( cutting water, and war threats )

I'm not ready to call this "somthing" yet. Exchanges on the border (in Kashmir) are normal. But durring times like these never can be to carful. It could spiral. Somthing normal could easily turn side ways durring tentions such as this.

SO everyone breath. As I keep saying it will be a slow burn on the escalation ladder. Even if a small skimrish turns full on border conflict. Will still take time to divulge into it. Land invasion don't happen overnight.

All look like Pakistani outlets only.

Question: Is the DEFCON level valid globally? For someone in New Delhi can I consider DEFCON 5 as valid for me as well?
The DEFCON Level we put out represents the threat of nuclear war anywhere in the world. So yes, it does apply to you as well.

Wonder if there's a way to get the metadata of the video posted, it could be of something completely different.
From Grok…..
### Key Points
- It seems likely that the video is not real, as there are no reports of military clashes between India and Pakistan in 2025.
- Research suggests videos claiming military fighting may be old footage or misinformation.
- The evidence leans toward the video being fake, especially given recent tensions over a terrorist attack, not military engagement.

### Direct Answer

#### Overview
The video you’re asking about, which claims to show fighting between Pakistan and India, is likely not real. Based on recent reports, there have been no military clashes between the two countries in 2025, and any such video is probably misinformation or old footag

So not even Grok can decide weather it's real or not. It seems fake. But that doesn't mean fake. Lol why can't answers be easy to get.

Even if it where real. Border clashes are routine in Kashmir. Just highlighting somthing as nornal as that does have potential to spiral given tentions.

Otherwise? Eh. It's the airstrikes that are coming that have me most worried.

Welcome to the world of the future. Had an interesting discussion around a decade ago about water wars in a world with climate change. Stuff like this will only get worse.

Yes, precisely.

Realistically, Pakistan doesn't want full-scale war with India, since it's their war to lose, or, ahem, "draw", if you consider nuclear exchange a draw - so under normal circumstances (i.e. not accounting for the anti-Pakistani sentiment that's prevalent in India) I would say this war would only happen if the Indian leadership wanted it (the terror attack, however bad, is obviously a pretext rather than a cause) - which immediately leads to the question of why Modi would want full-scale war with Pakistan.

OTOH we are all rats in a boiling pot, and irrational decision-making is evident in all quarters, so perhaps it's a case of painting yourself into a corner with bellicose rhetoric and stoking hatred...

In short if ya'll don't wanna watch the video this lead to india cutting off a major source of water for reasons i don't know as of yet but it will put Pakistan in a 90 percent drought.
