If Obama doesn't fall for the distraction, the U.S. would still deploy all units as scheduled to Poland, South Korea, and other locations while the Washington State Guard is forced to limit operations to containment of the Russian invasion forces in the northwest area of the state.

Remind me again how powerful the National Guard is? Just a question.

It's possible even much of the National Guard would be deployed overseas. The State Guards could very well be on their own. At least for a while.

Timeline has been updated again. Russia launches a limited invasion of the U.S. Pacific Northwest as a distraction before launching a full-scale invasion of Poland.

Not powerful enough. Nice and big armories to chew threw. But crap for armored vehicles. M113's and Humvees from operation desert storm. Like thats gonna stop a dedicated enemy.

The training itself (in my eyes) is not hard enough. The units who got deployed while we were in iraq and afghanistan were mostly used as garrison units (they didnhave combat roles, mostly as CAS and fixed wing/rotary). But mostly the Marines and Army did the ground fighting. Honestly...i dont think the NG could stand up to a dedicated invasion by an enemy.

I would have to agree with DD here. The NG is not fit to fight for one and the equipment is hand me down, used and abused, class 3 equipment. The only roll the NG would play would be time for civilians to flee or go into hiding.
