WDIV-TV reports that a truck crashed into the Temple Israel synagogue in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan.

Oakland County Sheriff Sheriff Mike Bouchard says no one is in custody yet. Smoke could be seen billowing from the synagogue's roof. Footage from the scene shows dozens of police vehicles surrounding the building.

FBI Director Kash Patel said agents are on scene of an “apparent vehicle ramming and active shooter situation” at the synagogue.

Synagogue security engaged the suspect. Second amendment saved lives today.

There is also another attack happening in Europe at the moment.

He said, "As we warned, words become actions," adding that the incitement and blood libels against Israel and Jews are leading to an increase in attacks and violence against Jewish communities and institutions.

US President Donald Trump referred to the attack on the synagogue in Michigan, saying that it was a "terrible thing." He said he had been fully briefed on the incident and added: "We send our love to the Jewish community in Michigan and the people of Detroit and the region. We will get to the bottom of this - it is unthinkable that things like this would happen."
