OK, accuse me of being a tree hugger. But the answer is so simple, it's stupid. Plant more hardwood trees. Look at how much rain occurs in heavily or at least forested areas. Look at how it started changing the climate in Israel after it became a country officially. hARDWOOD TREES CONVERT CO2 to oxygen, provide additional moisture into the air, (bringing on more rain) etc etc etc. Although it will take time, trees are the answer.

Trees are just one small part to the solution. Still going to need to drop fossil fuels not only for environmental reasons but energy security too. Have to change the public's mindset which will be the biggest hurl.

Luckily majority of people now understand or believe in climate chance. So we are getting there.

Believe it or investigate it if you want it makes more difference but I will rest easy in my understanding and time will prove the case.
In 1983 in illinois it was 100+ degrees on the mercury for the entire month of august. You know what that was called? A hot summer.
We have the recent historical record of sea levels changing and glaciers growing and shrinking.
It’s just normal climactic fluctuations and it all occurred before the concerns of man made green house gasses.

I was gonna post an article on the Green Sahara that had to do with the earths rotation around the sun and how the earth tilts on its's axis around every 20 thousand years or so. People will probably read this and think "104? PATHETIC!!!"

The UK isn't built for hot weather. It doesn't happen. Our houses are completely insulated designed to keep heat in, no one has AC, and the climate of the place makes it a heat that's near impossible to do anything in.

40 degrees in the UK is like -40 in Egypt or some shit. As I said before, it's unheard of. And it's not normal.

Not trying to give people ideas but being a member you get away with a lot more then guests. Every guest post has to be approved. Members posts don't need DWS STAFF approval. So see where I'm going here?

I have not posted my true thoughts on this. I will make it quick and easy...

Climate change is real. Regardless if its humane made or not no one can refuse our global climate is on a major shift.

So again regardless of its human
made or not we need to invest in climate change projects I.E shoring up vulnerable river beds along cites, making preparations for major cities being destroyed by natural disasters along entire east and gulf coast, and planning how to move over 40 million people from the west with a dying water source, or protecting our cities from rising sea levels.

My point is regardless if its human or natural cause. Climate change IS happening. We need to make back up plans and infustruce projects to protect our metropolitans from a changing climate. HUMAN CAUSED OR NOT.

To future historians reading through this forum archived away on a server, we know how frustrating and weird it seems that we were staring down the barrel of a loaded gun and arguing at first, whether the gun exists, then who's pointing the gun and why it's there instead of doing something tangible about it.
Sorry for making things worse. We don't know, as a species, yet how to focus on long term threats instead of short term ones. We all set our minds on pressing crises instead of future ones. We dither, delay and argue, it's rather a messy system. You probably have a better system (or at least I hope you do) but we're trying our best to improve. Don't judge us to harshly.
