Ok here comes the hate to me: No state should be force against their will to have concealed carry reciprocity.
Open carry should be lawful in every single nook and cranny of the USA unless you are a prohibited person or trespassing*
This is because, IMHO, the Constitution clearly allows it AND each state agreed to it willingly when they joined the Union (without an exit clause, which it turns out was stupid)
Concealed carry is a state right, firmly within the law enforcement philosophy of the state. Most states believe that concealed carry reduces public angst (because they are cowards) and create an element of uncertainty for criminals, and therefore allows it with various stipulations.
I personally would love concealed carry reciprocity as retired law-enforcement is a lot more complicated to travel about then just whipping out your carry card or flight deck card and being on your way.
BUT (Liberals everywhere take note) I am against forcing a state to comply against their wishes just like abortion.
Consistency is really the issue. Non expressly granted rights are reserved for the States.
