Dark Dreams?

Seeing as we talk about Nuclear War a lot on here and with recent events have you ever had a dream where you witness or die in a nuclear attack?

I'd imagine these dreams might of been common with older members on here during the cold war.

I had some terrible ones were some literally "felt" so graphic. Reminds me of the scene in Terminator 2 where Sarah Connor is dreaming and she slowing burns and melts with people around her turn to dust from a nuclear attack. Horrible shit.

How the hell do our leaders sleep at night?

In the early 80's when I was around 10 or 11 when I saw the tv movie "The Day After" I had thoughts and visions of that happening for years. Looking back at it now I'm in my mid-40's I think it was good to see it when I was young, cause I remember how horrible it would be if it did happen. Kids & young adults today have no idea how real and horrific a nuclear blast would be. To think that these are the people starting to take high level positions in governments. I don't think it's a matter of if it will happen. It will happen, and I think it will be in my lifetime if not sooner.

I have had these dreams. It feels like I am there when I have them, and usually, it was something stupid that started everything and ended with nuking.. I have nightmares on almost a weekly basis because of my current occupation (public safety) for any situation (mass shooting, natural disaster, etc.), but the nuclear ones are always the worst.

Always so many to help, and not enough supplies, and the feeling of powerlessness is very overwheming.

I have to admit, that scene was epic.

Especially in a countervalue exchange. Then things are just terrible.

I am always hopeful that one nuke would be enough to stop people from keeping on the fight but in my dreams they just drop all of them, and Earth never fully recovers. x.x
