So go up to the upper right and right click, not on the middle where it's a link to the main DWS page but on the colored area above the forums, and then refresh that way. For whatever reason that works for me when just refreshing the page doesn't.

There's also going to be a staggering amount of confirmation in the form of OSINT in a hundred different sources. If someone actually uses a nuclear weapon in anger, you will see movements around military installations you've never seen before, aircraft dispersals that simply don't happen ordinarily, etc. Even if NATO/Ukraine would be willing to cover it up or deny it for a while to prevent panic, there are just going to be a lot of tells all over the place to reflect that things got a great deal more serious. This is probably the single best thing about the folks on this site. Lots of folks who know radio, watch aircraft, pick up nuance in news reports, all that stuff. Those bells are going to be ringing like mad if that were to happen.

As for advice to leave Russia - I think that's more to do with the fact that Russian planes are being banned from Europe and a lot of international airlines seem hesitant to actually go anywhere near Russia right now.

Thermobarics use a detonation to disperse a liquid fuel efficiently into the surrounding air and ignites it. Depending on how it’s designed it can detonate like that one or more commonly just a massive fire ball that rushes outward looking for more oxygen to ignite. The big boom isn’t from the explosion but from air rushing in to fill the void where the fire vaporized all the air, like lightening.

If a nuke pops off we will be able to verify it very quickly that way. Any video you see where someone is claiming a nuclear detonation is almost certainly to be fake unless it's from 20 to 30 miles away, and even then I wouldn't be sure.

It certainly exploded like a ground burst nuke and I was thinking it was just way off in the distance as to why we didn’t see a bright flash yet. Glad I was wrong

This could mean a couple things… perhaps more but from where I sit…Russia could be ready to “detain” Americans within its borders, as part of war “proceedings” or they anticipate an actual conflict or counter-attack within Russia’s borders. Either way, not good.

Or, America foresee’s riots which are already happening BTW and feel it is unsafe for them to be there

It’s do to all Russian airline flights being banned over European airspace. So get out howe you can scenario.

Confirmed. US Embassy Moscow has an advisory warning US citizens that flights are limited. They said that US citizens should "consider" leaving Russia while commercial means are available.

This is different than saying that US citizens "should depart now", as they said with Ukraine.
