Maybe one of those dead-man’s switches is a computer virus…maybe even something simpler, like a bomb. I’d be willing to bet a sum of money that they took out a few insurance policies through the years.

Iran knows something we don’t.

That, or we do know it and that’s why we haven’t hit them yet. There’s more than enough assets in theater to do this right now if the order was given.

All true, so do nothing be held hostage to a proposed “what if”?
How will the situation look if Iran fields a fully operational ballistic nuclear weapon.

Which would be a greater threat.

I’m thinking that if we hit Iran conventionally and they do something stupid we will glass the place. Of course a WMD would bring that on but also another attempt at Trumps life (May God have mercy on their souls if they succeed.)

What if all of the US's enemies joined forces to weaken the US? Most people on this site believe that China, North Korea, and Russia wouldn't join forces to save Iran, of course,
but they all have a common enemy... the US.
(We mustn't forget that the US and Communist Russia were allies against Germany during World War II; they both had the same enemy.) In fact, what is China's dream? To become number one in all areas and surpass the US. An attack on Iran would give them an excellent excuse.
Finally, I don't think nuclear weapons will be used, but these days, there are different ways to wage war.
We must especially monitor China; tensions are extreme between the China and the US (trade war), and China is an ally of Iran.

I think if Iran nukes Israel, the US will go all out, but conventionally. Depends on how many nukes throws at Israel.

But that is hypothetical. Iran isn't going to detonate a single nuke. That would be suicide.

If a nuke goes off in Israel, Iran will send in a terrorist to do it inside. Plausible deniability.

Their nuclear energy program? I mean these guys probably have a bomb 2 weeks away, but they are linked to a real nuclear energy program. I'm assuming thats what Iran is referring to. The entire umbrella.

Not saying they arent making a bomb, they are very close, I just generally understood "nuclear program" can refer to either.
