Workiva working from a technology tool standpoint; agencies like the
Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) developing common themes in certain industries; and governmental regulations like the EU's
Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).
In 2023 Vanguard distanced itself from ESG investing as its CEO states that it's not compatible with its fiduciary duties to the investors.
