Apparently from the Reddit thread, this isn't too big of a deal. Finland gets most of their deficit from Sweden already.

At this point, assuming Hungary also will have something to say about Finland and Sweden, I wouldn't be surprised if they just signed treaties with every other NATO member.![]()
Turkey's leader opposes letting Finland, Sweden join NATO
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says his country is “not favorable” toward Finland and Sweden joining NATO.apnews.com
Yes this is some what true. UK being a nato country, should while defending Finland English military die during conflict it is looked upon as an attack against UK. in short a nato country at threat and nato cavalry step in.Tbh, i think Turkey's refusal isn't important
The finnish and swedish want to join NATO to be protected.
Turkey refuses, they can't, but it's not important, they are already protected by UK
Exactly, that's why i think that if Finland and Swedish's enter in NATO is delayed due to Turkey or Croatia, it's ok, they are already protected, so they are "safe" ( assuming that UK protecting those nations will deter Russia to attack them )Yes this is some what true. Yes wrong because at this stage only UK and France has nukes. Until nukes are being transported to a bordering country that is the match to a Cubin like situation, but not until then. But still correct in assessment of more nato countries on direct border of over 1000km of Russia border. This he didn't want. Yet failed to simply lob a couple of missiles into their territories to stop applications going through.I've been catching some wind that Turkey might put in a veto on Finland joining nato. This might be an unpopular opinion, but that could be a blessing in disguise for everyone. Russia has claimed several times that if finland made that move to join, some nukes would fly. Yea, I know, we've heard that stuff a thousand times, but on this particular one with either Finland or Sweden, I have a tendency to believe Russia this time around. Why?? That's basically just like the Cuban Missile crisis in reverse. And, if sources are correct, like finland re-opening their shelters and restocking them--the Russian sub fleet in the black sea all not in dock and out to sea, Russia cutting off the natural gas and then electric to Finland, well, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure which way this is going. In fact, there was supposed to be an urgent call from the Sec. of State to Russia made.I don't know openly, of any other time in this recent mess that there had been communication. You've never heard me say this ever before, but I would not be surprised at all if we see a nuke or two fly this coming week. The question is which way is it going??? I sure hope I'm wrong.
I don't see 1 or 2 ever being launched to be honest. I agree with pretty much everything else though. France and England being the nuke capable countries are already uncomfortably close so no real comparison to Cuba. Especially since Russian nukes can reach them faster . I see an official declaration of war with Ukraine simply so he can use what he needs to win this conflict. He has been limited so far in so many ways. And this move removes limits. And allows clear and concise information for the west to re-evaluate current support. With Finland and Sweden joining if they join? that's his next best move to end the unfortunate situation the west has supported ,created and maintained. While sitting back patting themselves on the back without getting their hands dirty , and watching these poor Ukrainian troops and civilians losing their lives with false hopes. This is disgusting behaviour by the west who won't man up and truly protect these poor victims . Sitting back wiping their heads and hands of guilt. Supplying weapons extending the obvious and proudly claiming bullshit while destroying the globes supply chain, affects we all suffer from for a war we won't actually try to stop but only support. Yeah Putin fired the first shot. But I maintain my claim right or wrong it is regional, not nato and the west, but once again who? the west makes the wrong choice of doing shit by halves . Either step in or step out. I just see unnecessary Ukrainian and global suffering because a global superpower and a global alliance doing the opposite of what they claim they are capable of. The biggest joke that no -one is laughing at except unexperienced twits who truly have no real idea what is truly happening.I've been catching some wind that Turkey might put in a veto on Finland joining nato.
