French President: Sending Western Troops On The Ground In Ukraine Is Not Ruled Out

I am again picking up my analysis about why Macron said this.
Because that’s the case…he got quickly contradicted even by Stoltenberg apart from the major NATO allies.
Without considering the fact that he even contradicted himself.

As usual it’s a good story well presented by the media to feed speculation and keep the interest high.
Nothing more.

Then if we wanna play the “I don’t see how things cannot go worse”…well cosmic pessimism does not usually result in a realistic interpretation of the reality.

You are understimating what Macron said. I read that you quoted Macron saying something like this: "We don't want that Russia wins, but we are not at war with Russia". Then you said: "non sense". And it is true. But with this "non sense" I think you mean "nothing to be worried about", putting the stress on "we are not at war with Russia". But I wonder why the stress should not be put on "We don't want that Russia wins". Our society, and above all our leadership is deeply hypocritical: it never say the things in a clear way. It says and it denies in the same time. But it says. What Macron said has to be read in the way of an Overton window, like a lot of other things. Macron put again the idea on the table in order to destroy the "taboo" Then we speak about it. Maybe sending NATO troops in Ukraine will be not so dangerous. Maybe it is possible. After all Russia red lines have demostrated to not exist (until now). After all democracy must be defended. Newspapers in Italy, like Repubblica e Corriere della Sera are preparing the public opinion over the possibility of an intervention. I think that Macron was serious. I am almost sure that finally some NATO troops will enter Ukraine. Sure: at first for some kind of humanitarian pourpose.

He literally will not have the military to push into Europe if he wins Ukraine.
Of course he will. Just as he turned the inhabitants of the Donbas into convenient cannon fodder, he will proceed to turn all Ukrainians into cannon fodder and march into Poland. Then he will turn Poles into cannon fodder and march into Germany. Do we see a pattern here...?

Honestly, the ability to remember things is starting to look like a superpower these days. Remember this thing called the Warsaw Pact? It included many countries that are now your allies. So what if their populaces hated Russia? Thir armies would still have marched westward - alongside their Soviet comrades - if the order came from the Kremlin. Do you want a repeat of that? Because Putin sure does.
Even Putin isn't dumb enough to invade Europe. Especially because he wouldn't be able to sell it to anyone. What's he gonna tell his troops and civilians who already have war fatigue?
Seriously...? Because what, if he doesn't sell it to them then they won't elect him...? 🤨

Putin doesn't give a crap what his people want. It's a one man-one vote system: he is the man and he has the vote.
There is absolutely zero chance he moves on from Ukraine and Moldova.
Funny how "...and Moldova" suddenly started creeping into discussions on which countries Putin absolutely won't move beyond. I have a hunch next year you'll be adding "...and the Baltic states" to that list.

Oh, and don't forget he's eyeing Alaska too.

Some common sense and rational logic. 👍

Without the slightest doubt. Crazy how some people still incredibly naively think Russian citizens have any say at all quite literally about anything especially their countries decisions.

You also make very valid point of Putin sending its new Ukrainian subjects in his newly annexed areas will without a doubt be used as fodder.
