Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is claiming to have attacked and seized two oil tankers today in the Persian Gulf, which they claim were part of a “fuel smuggling network” in the Gulf. The two tankers, identified as STAR l and VINTAGE, were captured during a naval operation by the IRGC earlier today, with 25 crewmembers being arrested while the tankers are transferred to an oil port in the city of Bushehr, where their fuel will be offloaded and seized by Iran. One of the tankers is being believed to be owned and operated by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while the other is currently unknown.

And the buildup continues.
The massive airlift of military equipment and assets to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area-of-responsibility over the last two weeks is continuing, tracking 95 cargo and aerial-refueling flights to airbases in the region by the U.S. Air Force’s Air Mobility Command (AMC) between March 25th and April 3rd.
The list includes at least two dozen C-17 and C-5 flights from Osan Air Base in South Korea to the Middle East, which we now know were carrying several U.S. Army MIM-104 “Patriot” surface-to-air missile batteries and a Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-ballistic missile defense system, likely meant to defend the Gulf Nations against missiles fired in the future by Iran.

I'm starting to believe that this isn't just about threatening Iran and pushing it into a deal. There's too much preparation going on. Something is definitely going to happen, and I think it will be soon — my guess is within a few weeks.

I agree, something in the back of my head is telling me this build up isn't just about the middle east. I have been saying for a while now to keep your eye on the bear to the north. Just a feeling I have. Could be totally wrong.

The amount of equipment could also be a signal to Russia to not step in should Iran be attacked.
