The leader of Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group said Saturday his fighters have introduced new weapons, including a missile with a heavy warhead in the ongoing fighting along the Lebanon-Israel border, adding that they will keep using the tense frontier to pressure Israel.

Another Gaza hospital goes out of service, Israel accuses aid agencies of putting lives at risk

Israeli government spokesperson Eylon Levy has accused international agencies operating within Gaza of actively putting Palestinian civilians' lives at risk.

"For a month, they've refused to support an evacuation from north. Now they're endangering everyone by requiring a hasty evacuation in the middle of ground urban warfare,"

Hamas suspends hostage negotiations over Israeli forces' handling of Al Shifa hospital, Palestinian official tells Reuters

Palestinian officials told Reuters that following the attack on Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, Hamas suspended negotiations for the release of Israeli hostages.

Israel has not yet given its consent in the indirect negotiations being conducted with Hamas in Qatar, for the release of security prisoners (mainly female prisoners) in exchange for the Israeli abductees. However, senior Israeli officials have not ruled out in recent days the possibility of Israel carrying out such a release as part of the agreement. Among those involved in the talks, there is optimism that it is possible to make an agreement.

The Israeli announcement of humanitarian cease-fires was the first step in the process. Israel knows that Hamas wants to get rid of dozens of women and children (and perhaps all the civilians in its hands), but this part of the deal has not yet been finalized. Israel, in theory, is supposed to transfer prisoners, fuel and additional humanitarian aid.

A senior U.S. administration official confirmed to NBC News that there is a possible exchange program between Israel and Hamas, in exchange for the Israeli hostages. According to the senior official, the deal includes the release of 80 kidnapped women and children to the Strip, in exchange for Palestinian women and teenagers imprisoned in Israel, and that other options are being considered.

If/when this conflict hits 90 days, I believe we should switch to monthly threads rather than weekly. Opinions?
So that's week 13.
It depends, if things spice up a bit and Hezbollah go ham on Israel or vice versa or equivalent then we should stick to weekly threads.
However, if the status quo remains until week 13 then I agree perhaps a migration to monthly threads may be called for.

For all of you wondering, this is pretty much what a behind-the-scenes staff discussion looks like.
e.g. Hey guys I think we should be at DEFCON X for reason Y. Opinions?
