You will have to survive completely on your own. Get your food, water, and supplies before store shelves are empty.Disaster Minister Goshi Hosono issued an urgent warning to the entire country.Every household is being told to store at least three days of food and water right now.
First Britain told citizens to stock up on food and cash. Then the US military started preparing bases to survive off-grid. And now Japan.
  • Japan's Disaster Minister Goshi Hosono announced an "emergency request" for all households to stockpile at least 3 days of food, water, and emergency toilets—ideally 7 days—as the new Disaster Management Agency launches on November 2, 2026, citing risks from Nankai Trough and Tokyo earthquakes plus Mount Fuji eruption.
  • Japan has long recommended these supplies due to its seismic activity; post-disaster, lifelines like electricity, water, and gas can fail for days to weeks, making initial self-reliance critical as government aid may be delayed in widespread events.
  • The post links this to UK and US prep advisories, amplifying speculation of an imminent major crisis, though official Japanese statements focus on standard natural disaster readiness rather than any new specific threat.
Other European countries are doing this also.

I am increasingly convinced that this wave of global pleas to citizens to stockpile supplies is more to do with the, very real, possibility that global internet connections are under threat than I am about kinetic warfare.
