The IDF said it has exposed a 2020 internal Hamas intelligence document outlining a detailed plan to infiltrate and take control of the Islamic Jihad's military decision-making apparatus. The document criticizes Islamic Jihad for acting independently, particularly in rocket fire, thus disrupting coordination among Gaza’s militant factions.
Hamas proposed creating a specialized committee of intelligence and security officials to gather information, infiltrate leadership structures, and bring Islamic Jihad’s military wing under Hamas’s centralized command within four months.
This revelation challenges the narrative of a unified Palestinian militant front and highlights Hamas’s broader strategy of dominance, not just over Gaza’s civilians but also over rival terrorist factions, the IDF said.

The leader of the Mujahideen Brigades was killed in an Israeli strike in the Gaza Strip, the terror group announces.
The Mujahideen Brigades is a relatively small Hamas-allied terror group in the Strip.
According to the IDF, the terror group was responsible for the abduction and murder of Shiri Bibas and her two young sons, Ariel and Kfir; Gadi Haggai and Judih Weinstein; and Thai hostage Nattapong Pinta.
In a statement, the Mujahideen Brigades says Mahmoud Kaheel, "leader of the movement," was killed in an Israeli attack that also killed his wife, children, and other family members.The IDF has not yet commented.
