No traffic over Almaty airport, only IL-76TD inbound from Nur-Sultan at this current moment. It seems that military holding onto the airport as their reinforcements hub. Flight to the left is a private jet sortied from Almaty. Flight to the right is unrelated to this area.

How could something like this happen so swiftly? How the hell people managed to carry out something like this during the celebrations? They were expected to lay down drunk and quiet at this time, but they are taking over a country instead.

It went even further - civilians opened fire at soldiers. They are taking weapons from police and even soldiers captive. Many soldiers who are deployed are staying idle and do not wish to interfere. Almaty's administration hall has been burned. Aktobe has fallen as well.

It's all seems to be chaotic. There are no unity, no leadership or coordination. But for sure - people's wish is the Nazarbaev's head, and of all his people - this country is completely under control of Nazarbaev's family. They have failed most of the industrialisation project throughout these long 30 years. Instead of modernisation for energy sector they turned into private hands of their relatives. This country was an aggricultural powerhouse that used to feed all of the Soviet Union - now is uncapable of feeding itself.
Workers at CNPC-AMG (China's largest oil company in Kazakhstan) blocked a bridge in Kenkiyak. One of the most important routes and junctions leading to oil infrastructures.

Beijing urgently contacted the Kazakh leadership of the company with a request to "return to jobs." In response, the workers (Kazakhs) said they would continue the protests. It should be noted that the average salary in a Chinese facility starts from $ 1000 and more, with an average income of $ 500 in Kazakhstan. There are no public leaders inside the crowd (except "social network leaders"). But the crowd get coordinated. As you already noticed, there are people who take our CCTV cameras at public places. There are people who makes camps, delivers the food, portable toilets. There are groups who surround the police and the soldiers. This cannot be done by unorganized crowd. These are not more just protests. This is a coup attempt.
