Right Sector On Combat Alert Against Kiev and Calls for Indefiniite Protests for IM's Resignation

Late Saturday, Right Sector issued a statement saying that two of their fighters had been killed and four other wounded during the initial standoff in Mukachevo. The statement added that “the entire Right Sector military and political movement has been placed on combat alert.”

Members of Right Sector have already began mobilizing, with ultra-nationalist crowds rallying in Kiev in front of the President Administration, as well as in Lvov and Dnepropetrovsk.

“Our brothers acted within the framework of necessary defence,” Yarosh wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday, adding that the Right Sector “calls to continue protests for indefinite term until those guilty in the tragedy are arrested.”

According to the group, the culprits are local MP Mikhail Lanyo, one of the negotiators on the Donbass issue from Kiev, Viktor Medvedchuk. The Right Sector is also calling for the resignation of the interior minister, Arsen Avakov.

According to UNIAN, the Right Sector said in a statement addressing the Ukrainian nation: "Today, Ukraine has seen an extraordinary event that could change the course of history. In the town of Mukacheve in Zakarpattia hundreds of thugs besotted by impunity, working for abuser and drug dealer, [former] Regions Party member Mykhailo Lanyo, who is now Member of Parliament of Ukraine, have attempted to physically destroy Right Sector members. Criminals wearing the police uniform who are dependent on Viktor Medvedchuk, the odious fellow sponsor of the Ukrainians' main enemy [Russian President Vladimir Putin], also took part in this operation with the use of force" .

The Right Sector demands the immediate and public arrest of MP Lanyo, who took part in the event in person, as well as "all the criminals and law enforcers who opened fire [on the Right Sector members], and those who ordered to open the fire." The statement said that "the entire Right Sector military and political movement" has been placed on combat alert."

Kiev is sliding further into civil war. Right Sector now accusing Kiev of being aligned with Putin in their statement and is sending reinforcements to escalate this stand-off and the Ukraine NAtional Gaurd is signalling siding with Right Sector. Major split in military and the government.

I know they are crazy, but they also are armed and a criminal gang that have the ability to really destabilize this if they want. If this extremist group takes over out of fear and Kiev's inability to put down, will Putin justify 'Nazi's' have taken over Ukraine and invade?

Hopefully Kiev doesn't get overthrown by these self-proclaimed Nazi's. Putin would invade Kiev if he thinks 'ethnic cleansing' of Russians is happening. That was his justification in Crimea and Donbas. Could drag in NATO by accident. Just a setback to stability in an already dangerous situation. We will see how powerful this Far Right Sector is, because they are admitted extremists.

I'd seriously hope that Kiev doesn't get overthrown by this. This would only give a justification for Russia to barge right in.

Corrupt Govt. Officials and Gangs Battle for Territory in Black Market

The president opened Monday's security meeting by accusing "the Zakarpattia smugglers of throwing down a challenge to all of Ukraine."

But he also blamed Pravy Sektor -- whom he called "true patriots" -- of allowing "banal criminal gangs" enter its ranks.

A senior Ukrainian security service source said most in the government believed Pravy Sektor was far less innocent than it claimed.

Pravy Sektor "itself is trying to win a piece of the contraband business," the security source said.

"The problem for Ukraine is that there are a lot of armed people who view themselves as heroes and try to establish their brand of order through force," said the source.

"Something like this was bound to happen -- and it did."

Poro's has lost control if he has his own Interior Minister battling Paramilitary forces for control of black markets.. Talk about gangland. Not good from a stability and credibility point. He can't control West Ukraine? Pretty soon there will be 4 or 5 civil wars (gang wars). Putin is eating this up I'm sure..

It's like the Crips and Bloods, depends on which side is the scariest to the average citizen. The government can't even fight the south, so I don't think they want to upset where they are in control unless the citizens themselves stand-up. It will get interesting. Do you have any wings?
