Krakatoa has awakened

It seems that Krakatoa has awakened this Friday. If that ash column reaching 15 km in altitude is confirmed, we're talking about a relatively strong eruption (possibly subplinian).

It’s an explosive eruption, but it’s important to clarify that this volcano has high activity and experiences a major eruption every few years; that doesn’t mean it’s going to be like the catastrophic eruption of 1883.

And most likely even if it's not to the level of the past Krakatoa eruption....it will touch off more earthquakes and other bad things in areas already damaged by recent ones. This is NOT looking good.
